Continue reading this post and learn some of our favourite DIY spot on treatments for pimples and acne using common ingredients you can easily find at home.

TOOTHPASTE – You can help diminish the inflammation and bumpy appearance of an acne by dabbing some toothpaste on it and letting it sit overnight. The mint contents of toothpaste helps dry out pimples making it shrink almost instantaneously.

LEMON – Known for its astringent qualities, fresh lemon juice eliminates excess oil from affected areas on the skin which relatively reduces the inflammation of pimples and acnes in just a few hours. Simply put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and dab onto the pimples and acnes and surrounding areas.

GARLIC – Raw garlic is also a popular choice when it comes to reducing the size of acnes. Gently massage peeled raw garlic on the affected spot for them to heal. We also recommend to include garlic in your diet if you’re prone to having pimples and acnes in the first place for it cleanses the blood stream.

CUCUMBER – One of nature’s popular cleansers, cucumber deeply cleanses the skin which sanitizes affected areas and prevents pimples, acnes, blackheads and whiteheads from recurring.

ASPIRIN – Combine crushed aspirin with a few drops of distilled water to form a paste. Smoothen this mixture on top of pimples and acnes and surrounding areas and let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Aspirin has salicylic acid which is a common ingredient of most store bought spot on treatments. This ingredient penetrates the skin and heals the pimples and acnes from within.
