Posted on November 15 2016

Eyebrows are one of the features of men that are mostly neglected. What most men don’t know is that eyebrow grooming is very important because gives an impression of a polished and clean-looking face. A regularly trimmed and shaped eyebrows frames the face and accentuates the soulfulness of the eyes. It can take off years (or decades) off your overall appearance and will make you extra attractive.

You don’t have to go as far as creating high arches and dramatic lines to keep your eyebrows well-groomed. It only takes a little trimming here and there to tame the brows and put it in the right shape. If you haven’t done eyebrow trimming before, you’ve come to the right place. Continue reading this post and learn more about the eyebrow grooming tips we live by.

Keep it Natural – Seriously, eyebrow grooming doesn’t have to be too complicated or perfect. Invest in a nice pair of tweezers and pull out some hair outside your natural brow contours to keep it simple and even. Don’t pluck any hair along the arch area, otherwise your brows will look feminine and unnatural. Keep in mind that less is more. Think of it as simple tune-up to keep the eyebrow area tidy.

Tweezer Tip – Plucking your eyebrows with a tweezer can be very painful so make sure you do it right after a hot shower for it to be less painful. Hot water opens up the hair follicles making it easier to pull out hair. You can also try applying petroleum jelly on your eyebrow area to soften the skin. Make sure you sterilize your tweezer before use to avoid any irritation to your skin and hair follicle.

Waxing – If you have bushy and thick eyebrows, it’s a good idea to pass on the tweezers and consider waxing instead. For best results, have your eyebrows waxed by a licensed cosmetologist or aesthetician. They are the best people to ask help from for they know what will work best for your natural eye brow shape. Best of all, waxing will prevent hair from growing back for two to four weeks which means you don’t exactly need to pluck eye brow hair from time to time for maintenance.

Trimming Time – You may try trimming your eyebrow hair if they appear to be too long. Brush your eyebrow hair upward using a spool brush cut the bits of long eyebrow hair that go beyond the natural brow line. This way, your eyebrow hair will no longer look unruly and will look neat instead.

Brow Gel – You can use a brow gel to hold all your eyebrow hair in place. A clear brow gel looks natural and will make your eyebrows shiny looking as well. If a brow gel is not available, you can use your hair gel instead. Just dab some hair gel on your brows and brush it with a spool brush for best results.
