Essential Grooming Tips for Men
Posted on November 15 2016
Your personal appearance, choice of clothing and grooming routine can influence the way people think of you in both personal and professional level. It is therefore important to make sure you look your best at all times to make a lasting positive impression.
Believe us when we say that you have to keep all your hair in check before sprinting out the door. With this we mean you need to trim the hairs not just on your head but also on your face and whole body. Go to your trusted hair stylist and have your hair trimmed at least every 3 weeks or once a month so that you’ll always look neat and put together. Men tend to have long nose hair and if they are not trimmed before you head out the door, you’ll end up distracting people you’re going to talk to the whole day. Plus, we can’t deny the fact that visible nose hairs can be a source of embarrassment and make you look untidy. Invest in a quality nose hair clipper so that you can easily cut those nasty nose hairs short. You may also find long hairs hanging from your ear so trim them also using an ear trimmer. Lastly, take a look at your eyebrows. Men should also pluck or tweeze wandering brow hairs to keep your eyebrows properly-shaped.
Hair care should also be part of regular grooming process for every man. Determine the type of hair you have and look for shampoos and conditioners that can possibly work for you. For example, if you have oily hair, it’s best to buy a shampoo and conditioner specially formulated to reduce the production of sebum on your hair. If you have dry hair, a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner will increase the hydration quality of the scalp. What’s important is you keep the hair clean or else it will look greasy or will be bombarded with flakes or dandruff somewhere along the way.
We couldn’t emphasize further how important it is to maintain oral care. For us, a pair of straight teeth will go down the drain if they have plaque or noticeable build up in between! Always floss and brush teeth regularly to promote good oral health care to prevent teeth and breath problems.
If you prefer a clean shaven look, make sure you shave regularly so that you won’t be left with a 5’oclock shadow which can look untidy at times. On the other hand, if you want to wear a beard, be sure to wash and condition it with special beard products to keep it smooth and manageable. Trim your beard once in a while so that no stray hair will wander in multiple directions.
